Your 6 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for August 16, 2024:
Happy Friday! After a stretch of dry, sunny weather, we'll enter a rainy pattern over the course of the weekend as an area of low pressure rolls through the northern Great Lakes. This low will provide several rounds or waves of showers and storms -- primarily during the afternoon and evening hours this weekend.
As for our Friday, showers are rolling through this morning as a warm front is pushing into northern Ohio. Another complex of storms moving out of Indiana will likely catch up to our showers keeping the clouds and rain chances locked in through midday. We should pop into some sunshine later today with a few storms possible as we heat up.
Expect a murky Friday night with humidity and leftover shower chances around. We could see some fog waking up Saturday before sunshine will give way to more showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. We'll turn cloudier with more in the way of showers Sunday and early Monday.
