Short & Sweet today (though not by intent). There's not much longer left for the DRS operated Class 37s, aside from their duties on the Cumbrian Coast & Anglia passenger workings there isn't much left for them to do other than railtours and the odd stock move with most of their fleet either having been sold off or stored pending sale. Even the nuclear flask traffic has been handed over to the new Class 68s with the exception of the Berkley job which 68s are unable to do due to gauging issues.
I arrived at Bamfurlong to film a Crewe to Carlisle stock move however was surprised to find 37606 & 37602 on a driver training run / route learner from Preston to Crewe passing moments after my arrival. The stock move eventually turned up nearly 80 minutes late with 37069 dragging a single DBSO back up to Carlisle, I took the latter shot from a new spot just a bit further north and on the opposite side to my location - it looks like it will be very good for trains on the slow lines though the fast lines pose a tighter angle.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more rail videos coming soon, also feel free to check out my "6219Extra" channel which is home to my "cutting room floor", "Four Foot" and "Extra Extra" videos.
