UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been discharged from hospital after spending nearly a week receiving treatment for coronavirus, but he will not immediately return to work.

In a statement released by Number 10, the Prime Minister said he owed the NHS staff his life after being treated in the Intensive Care Unit for three nights.

Mr Johnson was first admitted to hospital on April 5, but was transferred to intensive care after his symptoms worsened.
