A review of the Rode Lavalier Mic.

Many have asked me how I do my audio recordings for some of my videos and my answer is a lavalier mic. They are great ways to record audio without having interference/noise also be recorded. I had the opportunity to test out the Rode Lavalier Mic and I gotta say it is one of the best lavalier mics I have used. You can literally hear for yourself in the video as I do have a comparison between the lavalier and the built in DSLR audio recording. Lavalier mics like the Rode Lavalier can be clipped onto clothes, hats etc to hide them and with the Micon adapter capability of the Rode Lavalier you can quickly adjust to using an XLR connection, a 3.5mm jack etc. easily.

The only downside that I did find with the Rode Lavalier was the Micon connection device as it did seem like it might have issues with durability in the future as threading the adapters does take patience. If you don't thread it properly you end up damaging the lavalier mic.
