Did Morbius truly break the Sony's Spider-verse after Spider-Man No Way Home, or can things simply be fixed by Andrew Garfield?
Spider-Man No Way Home opened up the Spider-verse to give second chances to both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker. But through that Multiverse logic, Morbius recently changed the rules so that Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes apparently no longer exists in the MCU, for no apparent reason. Erik Voss explains what went wrong, why this was seen as such a glaring mistake, and what simple moves Sony can make -- and indeed, might already be making -- to resolve it all with a Spiderverse separate from the MCU that we can still look forward to.
