Learn about the construction of the U.S. Brig NIAGARA, the official flagship of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania! Launched in 1988, NIAGARA sails today as a U.S. Coast Guard certified Sailing School Vessel, keeping alive the time-honored traditions of square-rigged seamanship through her live-aboard sailing programs.



The U.S. Brig NIAGARA and the Erie Maritime Museum are owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and administered by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission with the assistance of the Flagship Niagara League.
