The Court of Appeal upheld the decision to impose the death penalty on six men convicted of murdering deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais nine years ago.
The men charged include a former pathologist, a moneylender, and four unemployed individuals, who were found guilty of killing Morais in 2015.
Chaired by Datuk Hadhariah Syed Ismail, the three-judge panel unanimously decided on the verdict, which was based on evidence presented during a trial that involved 70 prosecution witnesses and 14 defence witnesses.
The High Court judge ruled that the accused had a common intention to kill Morais and that the defence failed to raise reasonable doubt.
