Dr John Demartini is a world leading human behaviour expert, and inspirational speaker and author. Although filmed in 2007, John’s wisdom, based on both his research and ‘lived experience’, is even more pertinent now than ever before.
It was his involvement with "The Secret" documentary (produced by Rhonda Burn) in July 2005 that brought him to a more global audience. John was excited to be part of the documentary, as the content is based on the teachings that have stood the test of time.
John shares how he started living 'The Secret' after being told as a child he had learning abilities (later diagnosed as dyslexia) from the age of 7-17 and almost dying of strychnine poisoning.
His scope of knowledge and experience is a culmination of 34 years of research and studies of more than 28,000 texts into over 200 different disciplines including psychology, philosophy, metaphysics, theology, neurology and physiology.
This conversation with John was both enlightening and inspirational on many levels, as he shares his personal journey and the work he does in the world. He had been forced, as a child in the late 1950’s, to wear a dunce hat, and sit in the corner of the room at school. What was then ‘undiagnosed dyslexia’, was being judged as ‘a child that could not be taught’.
John also talks about his wife, Athena Starwoman, who passed away from breast cancer before age 60, even though they had access to all the esoteric knowledge and medical assistance in the world. As he explains, our unconscious motives and unconscious values will create our reality, regardless of what we say we would like to have in our lives.
He shares some of his last conversations with Athena, how love never dies, and that he still feels Athena's presence. He also explains how to accept 'loss' and how he met his next partner 'Star Girl'.
John’s book 'The Heart Of Love' shares how he 'sees' bereavement, how the mind works and how we can honour the passing of a loved one, with far less pain and much greater joy they were in our lives.
