HI GUYS!!

Today’s video my mom is showing y’all how she makes her delicious banh xeo. It’s very simple and easy and if you love eating greens this is the best dish to eat with! Banh Xeo is a Vietnamese crepe or pancake that looks like an omelet but there is no eggs in the ingredients lol. I like mine super thin and crispy! How about you guys? Also, in different regions of Vietnam there are different toppings that people add in their banh xeo as well. Share with me how you make banh xeo at home!

BANH XEO RECIPE (2 BAGS);
2 Bags of Banh Xeo or Banh Khot Flour
(Add in the turmeric packets)
Tumeric 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tbsp
Olive Oil 1 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Knorr Powder 2 tbsp
MSG 1 tbsp
2 Cans of Coconut Milk
4 1/2 cups of water
Green Onions 4-5 Springs

Any choice of protein of your liking.. pork, chicken, shrimp, beef, veggies, etc..

You can precook any of the protein or cook it 90%

PICKLED DAIKON+CARROTS RECIPE;
Shred some daikon and carrots
Add 1 tbsp of Salt and lightly toss the veggies and quickly rinse it out very softly.
Then Add 3 tbsp of Sugar
1/4 tsp of MSG
6-7 tbsp of Vinegar
And lightly toss!

SWEET&SPICY FISH SAUCE;
So for this recipe it really depends on how sweet or savory you like the sauce so the ratio will slightly differ but this is how my mom makes it and it’s a nice light savory taste!

As for the measurements, if you use a soup spoon or a spoon that will be the same amount used for the rest of the condiments.

For example, in the video my mom used a soup spoon. So for sugar and fish sauce she did 3 each of the soup spoon and so for every 1 soup spoon of fish sauce she added 3 soup spoons of hot water. So for the lime juice and vinegar she did 1 soup spoon each.

Fish Sauce + Sugar 1:1 ratio
Hot Water 3:1 (for every 1 fish sauce is 3 hot waters)
MSG 1 tbsp
Vinegar 1 ratio
Fresh Squeeze Limes 1 ratio
Fresh Red Peppers (as much as you like)
Fresh Minced Garlic (the more the merrier)
