Our adventure starts before dawn with an escape from the irradiated Soviet mining town of Min-Kush. Leaving the roentgens behind, we soon find ourselves back in the Kyrgyz heartlands and ahead of us lies a long and winding road to be travelled with the kindness of the Kyrgyz people, a sacred mountain and a brush with fate. Join me on a perilous quest across Central Asia.
