Postoperative nausea and vomiting is one of the most common treatable post-op complications seen in patient, the incidence being 9.1%. Afl score is an easy score to calculate the risk of post-op nausea vomiting in patient, having four important factors in it: female gender, history of motion sickness, post-op most probable use of opioids, and nonsmoker. If someone has zero of these four risk factors, the incidence is 10%, one factor, the incidence is 20%, and two factors of these four, the incidence is 40%, three, 60%, and all four factors present in them, the incidence being 80%. If someone has more than three factors, then we should modify our anesthesia technique and use three drugs as anti-hematic prophylaxis to minimize post-op nausea vomiting in this patient.
