Emirates Waste to Energy Company, our joint venture with Masdar, held its First Boiler Part Lifting Ceremony at the UAE’s first of its kind facility – the Sharjah Waste to Energy Facility.
As the first boiler part is installed, the ceremony is significant because the full boiler is at the heart of a waste-to-energy plant. On completion, the facility will generate up to 30MW of electricity to power over 28,000 homes in Sharjah, and help lead the way for achieving zero waste in the Emirate. #Sustainability #Energy #Sharjah
