Why do you need more tension? Because the more tension you have, the easier it is for rain water to run off, so your awning doesn’t sag and get damaged. The curved part of the pole provides tension in the awning to keep the fabric taut. This means a Curved Roof Rafter also helps reduce wind flap. They also work with an anti flap kit for even more stability! Aussie Traveller offers two different types of Curved Roof Rafters, which suit most brands of caravan rollout awnings. Choose from a Maxi Curve and a Mini Curve design, then select black or white finish to match your awning. The Aussie Traveller Curved Roof Rafter is easy to install. The kit comes with a mounting plate, so you simply need to drill a hole in your awning drum then connect it to your mounting plate. Release the toggle, slide the spigot into the hole you’ve made in the awning drum, and screw in the arm. Fitting brackets are included.
