The executive director of the Uganda National Roads Authority Allen Kagina has said the continued flooding of Lake Albert has made it hard for contractors to complete the project on time.

This is affecting mainly construction on sections of roads that reach Wanseko and Butiaba landing sites in Buliisa district.

Both the landing sites are flooded. Kagina says UNRA will meet with the contractors to negotiate a deadline extension but adds that progress on the construction of the oil roads is on the right track.
