Operation Solania is the ADF’s contribution to maritime surveillance within the Pacific region and supports the Pacific Island Forum Fisheries Agency’s (FFA) Operations Rai Balang, Tui Moana, Island Chief, and Kuru Kuru.
In the second Operation Solania for 2023, the Royal Australian Air Force supported the FFA’s Operation TUI MOANA deploying a C-27J Spartan aircraft and crew to support the maritime protection of the exclusive economic zones of Samoa and Tonga.
Through actively engaging in operations such as Operation Solania, #YourADF reaffirms its dedication to maritime security in the Pacific region, environmental protection, and fostering international partnerships to combat illegal activities at sea.
