Jazz Voicings, Drop 2's and Inversions - A 15-Minute Jazz Guitar Theory Crash Course

Here's a screencast to clear up some of the confusion about jazz chords, inversions, and voicings. don't worry it's not rocket science!
In short, inversions can define by which note is the lowest within a chord. For triads, we have root position, first inversion, and second inversion. For 7th chords (it's 1-3-5-7), we also have a third inversion.
VOICINGS describes the space (intervals) between the notes within the chord itself. If you write, for example, C-E-G as close as possible on the staff, this is called "closed voicing".
Other examples of voicings are: closed spread, Drop 2, Drop 3, etc. In the video, I explain how to GET to those voicings (from a closed position), and how Drop 2's are obtained on the staff (for jazz guitar and jazz piano accompaniment).
I hope you enjoy this video! If you like it, please leave a comment and let me know if you want to see more videos like this one :)
