STORYLINE:
A Qatari plane carrying humanitarian aid arrived in Beirut on Tuesday to help the Lebanese government deal with the humanitarian crisis caused by the Israeli bombardment in several regions of the country.
Qatar's Minister of State for International Cooperation, Lolwa al-Khater, led the delegation that delivered the aid.
She met with Lebanese Health Minister Firass Abiad and the country's caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati.
Al-Khater condemned the Israeli attacks in Lebanon over the past weeks that killed over 1,300 people, displaced more than a million others, and caused widespread destruction across the country.
"We need a serious stance from the international community for an immediate ceasefire," she said.
Al-Khater, who visited one hospital in Beirut, also condemned the attacks on health workers since fighting escalated between Israel and Hezbollah.
