My buddy Bill and I are at the one and only Windrock Bike Park in Oliver Springs, TN! This is a place I've been wanting to ride for a long time and it did not disappoint. We lucked out on a sunny day in early February of 2023. So this actually a year ago before Aaron Gwin bought the place.
I'm ridin' my Salsa Rustler which has 130mm of travel in the rear 150mm up front with 27.5 wheels. Not exactly the bike you'd want here but it handled it like a champ. I'd really like to go back now that I have a 160mm travel mullet now. Hoping to make that happen soon and to see what's new at the park.
Although this place is steep and fast there's trail for most skill levels. The steepness and speed takes a little getting used to but if you've never been there and are nervous that you can't handle it because you've heard it's super gnarly it's not that crazy, just take things slow. With that being said if you're a true beginner don't go here haha.
