I love facilitation.
And want the world to recognise the skills and behaviours that qualify me as a professional facilitator.
The credentials of the International Association of Facilitators, let me do just that.
When a client brings you into their project, they want to be certain you can do the job.
Qualifications?
Certification?
Skills?
I used to find it hard to explain my credentials to people. The IAF has made it easier and more credible – it’s given me a professional path.
Thanks to the IAF, I gained mentors, confidence and a seal of approval that explains the merits of my work.

Being part of an Association like this, gave me an opportunity to grow while showing the world my credibility through affiliation and certification.

I remember when I became a member. I had just realised “wow, this thing I do, could be my work.” Being a member didn’t mean I had all the qualifications, but it opened the door to a place to refine skills, and showed clients that I aligned with the IAF ethics and values.
Develop your facilitation skills and network

• Do you play the role of facilitator?

• Do you want more facilitation resources?
Endorsed Facilitator
At my first regional conference, I realized that I was standing on the shoulders of giants. Mixing with people who were shaping the facilitation industry gave me a real buzz. I asked to be mentored, which helped me to understand the core competencies – which are still my foundation.
Demonstrate your professional development
Explore & get mentored in the core competencies
• Do you see facilitation as your profession?
• Do you want to assess your facilitation skills?
• Do you want to be mentored?
Certified Professional Facilitator
My facilitation practice shifted, in the Certified Professional Facilitator process. Going in, I was nervous; but when I realised the CPF assessors wanted me to succeed, I found my flow. The team was objective, impartial, and realistic –
I learned a lot – from my fellow candidates, and the post-assessment report.
Get the most recognised credential in the market
Establish yourself as a professional facilitator
• Do you want to certify your level of skill?
• Do you need professional credentials?
• Do you want to invest in your development?
CPF | Master
After recertifying twice as a CPF, my focus moved towards developing others. As I was increasingly mentoring, and publishing – I went for the “Certified Professional Facilitator | Master” – both, for public recognition – and personal revelation.
Reinvent yourself, your industry
Be recognised for shaping the field of facilitation
• Do you want to upgrade your certification?
• Do you want to refine your practice?
• Do you develop the facilitation field?
CPF | Emeritus
I don’t see myself slowing down any time soon, but at some point I am sure I’ll rebalance my personal and professional activities. And write my masterpiece that rethinks the system we all work within. Perhaps, even become a CPF | Emeritus.
Inspire the next generation of facilitators
Be recognised for your contribution to the field
• Have you transformed the field of facilitation?
• Are you stepping back from active facilitation?
• Do you still want to be recognised as a facilitator?
The IAF’s professional path stimulated me to grow as a facilitator;
while helping organisations know how to tap the power of facilitation –
why don’t you see what if could mean for you!
