A mother and 13 yrs old son travelled to Cambodia to see one of Unesco sites and hailed by Lonely Planet as the top must-see - The Angkor Wat of Siem Reap.
But first, we flew from Manila to Phnom Penh International Airport, tour Phnom Penh by tuk-tuk for two hours before taking the Ibis bus to Kampot. A town 2.5 hours by bus outside of Phnom Penh. We are visiting a newly organized Children English school at a village 10 minutes outside of Kampot. The School "Little Fish School" is organized by my Canadian friend Mark and Thai.
"Improve Their Lives" is a small startup program currently focused on Cambodia's Kampot province. My friends funded Little Fish English School, which provides rural kids access to free English classes to better prepare them for opportunities in jobs such as tourism and hospitality, as well as for post-secondary education Our goal is to give kids in the area valuable education, many of whom are orphans or come from poor families.
