Antibody tests were thought to be the key to reopening the state’s economy. But health care experts warn they don’t paint a clear picture, with many providing false positives or negatives. Even with the uncertainty, clinicians can still use them as one of the tools in better understanding how the disease operates, how long antibodies stay in the body and how widespread the virus has become.
