Dont get me wrong these are very strong and good but not GREAT pups. They are 491 and 498 Gibsons for Epiphone guitars. However, they have never been POTT'd. Covered in WAX to eliminate the "MICROPHONIC" effect that takes place with UN-WAXED PUPs. Place this guitar near your apm and turn the amp up and the noises begin along with squeals that you may or may not want. Personally I dont want that through my AMP. So, next step is to remove these PUPs and soak them in a DOUBLE BOILER with melted Wax and Bees Wax. Test the results.....
