Here are a few interrogation tricks that I have used over the years.
Everyone uses these whether they know it or not including, the police, private detectives, Loss Prevention Officers, Security Guards and bounty hunters.
One trick I call "The Tough Guy Technique" because it works so well on tough guys.
The images and video you see are file footage from actual cases just to give you something to look at while you learn these interview techniques.
Some start-up investigators have never seen real case file images before so this may be helpful to you. Some of the video I've had to crop out the date time stamp or other portions so they are a bit more grainy than the originals.
At about the 2 minute mark you can see a homeless guy sleeping in the cold. His perspective was that it would be better to be arrested and get warm than to move. He eventually changed his mind and left the area.
The aggressive panhandlers (about 4 minutes in) were hassling tourist. The law is very specific and they were panhandling in an illegal spot. The guy in all gray took off with his bike when he saw it things start to unravel for them, but the guy in the gray and blue sweatsuit came over and tried unsuccessfully to talk his way out of it before giving up and heading out with his bike too.
