A portion of West Trade Street in Uptown Charlotte was closed on Tuesday morning because of a parking deck fire.
About 30 Charlotte firefighters got the fire under control in about 20 minutes, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. The fire broke out on the fourth floor of a parking deck in the 700 block of West Trade Street, which is located near the South Cedar Street intersection adjacent to Johnson and Wales University.
