A humourous ditty depicting the abstract notion of ‘ridiculous’ – composed in 1915.
This is listed in ABRSM and Trinity Grade 7 lists for 2019–20. It is often played too fast but I think Boris Berman sets a sensible speed at just over a minute. There's a lot of detail to pack in and rushing it detracts from the clarity and absurdity, I think.
