When the working circumstances are stable, a CURTIS programmable controller could work continually for pretty long time (some controllers insist for over 10 years). But during the application of a CURTIS controller, a certain conscience should be paid for avoiding potential product failure. The CURTIS programmable controller (for example: 48V / 500A DC series winding motor controller 1205M-5603) can be set for specific working voltage, current rate and throttle type. Some accidents could be fatal for a controller, over-voltage, short circuit, wrong throttle type setting, ect. With a CURTIS programmer, we may diagnose the controller for determining its failure. But some times, when the logical circuit is damage, the programmer become useless. Then we have to send the fail controller back to manufacturer. By opening the controller, we may check the internal circuit to check the failure cause.
