Started 27th on the grid. On the first lap I could hear my brake pads screeching against the rotors. Made my way through traffic and took the lead on lap 9. First time ever leading a race for more than 3 laps. Was putting in consistent lap times and holding the lead to 2nd for 8 laps with a 6.7 second lead at one point and then alluva sudden... Safety Car. Dahhh!!! Everyone now bunched up for the restart. I had the lead going into the chicane and then my brake pads failed trying to defend against Matt Rose in the Exive. Locked up the rear and it swung out making a bit of contact. Glenn Harrop in the Altezza took the lead as the other white car followed him through. I felt bad for making contact with Matt Rose so I gave him the position going into the hairpin. Still had fun. Fastest lap of the race on my 2nd last lap.
