⛰ Pacific Crest Trail - Day 34 📅
Washington and Oregon are conquered ⚔️ Now I prepare to enter California where I’ll be battling wildfires, drought issues, and possible locust swarms 😬
👉🏼 Miles/Completed: 855
👉🏼 Miles Remaining: 1825
👉🏼 Average Miles/Day: 26.7
👉🏼 Highest Mileage Day: 39
👉🏼 Days on Trail: 32
👉🏼 Days Off: 2
👉🏼 🍕consumed: 3
👉🏼 Shoes Replaced:1 (Hokas are doing great!!)
📍 Current Location: Ashland, OR
👉🏼 Areas Covered/Highlights: Mt. Hood; Timberline Lodge; Three Sisters; Shelter Cove Resort; Mt. Thielsen; Crater Lake
👉🏼 Oregon terrain isn’t as intense compared to Washington so I was able to increase my daily mileage considerably🏃🏼♂️ Plenty of lava field 🌋 crossings in the central region and an increase of carnivorous mosquitoes 🦟 while skirting ponds in the south. The past few days have seen a noticeable degradation of air quality from the fires burning in the southern Oregon and NorCal areas. Current air quality index levels are not the best in the area but as I push south they appear to improve. My primary planning consideration now is navigating around current and future fire closures 🤔 I need to find locust repellent asap 😆
