A South Ferry bound R62A 1 train departs the 125th Street station in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. Note that this station is located on a very high viaduct despite the two stations immediately to the north and south (137th Street-City College and 116th Street) both being below ground. The station was built this way because Broadway is in a deep valley at this location, and building a viaduct kept the subway line more level. This station offers excellent views of Harlem and Morningside Heights, as well as a decent view of the Hudson River and New Jersey.
