Let’s start the day with a quick and simple yet a healthy banana smoothie.
Smoothie is a thick drink made with pureed fruits, yogurt, milk, ice-cream, vegetables.
Banana smoothie is full of rich banana flavor and is a good source of potassium. One of my easiest smoothie recipes. It’s made with simple ingredients that I always have in my kitchen, so I can make it anytime I need a quick breakfast. This easy smoothie is also a healthy snack for kids.
This banana smoothie is best made with frozen bananas, but you can use unfrozen ripe bananas in a pinch. Frozen bananas help to chill the smoothie and make it extra thick and creamy, similar to a milkshake.
Ingredients:
Rolled Oats - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Dry Fruits - 1/4 cup
Flaxseed - 1 tbsp
Banana - 1
Honey - 1 tbsp
Method:
1. In a smoothie jar, soak rolled oats, dry fruits, flaxseed and milk.
2. Soak for 15-20 mins as rolled oats has more fiber content it needs some soaking time.
3. Finally add banana and honey and grind it to a smooth paste.
Enjoy with choice of your toppings.
Tips:
Frozen banana can be used that adds a thick and creamy smoothie.
For this recipe have used Red Banana is rich in vitamins and minerals.
Sweetener - Honey, maple syrup, jaagery syrup, karuppati syrup.
Instead of milk we can use almond milk, soy milk or coconut milk.
