Question: I am looking for a flat in Thane in Lodha. My budget is Rs 78 lakh. Quoted carpet area is 1BHK 453 square ft. Prices are going to reduce? But what will be the impact of demonetization? Is it right time to buy?
Answer: Primary markets will not see immediate price correction due to demonetization policy. First, we need to monitor how the resale market fares. Prices will get impacted in the resale market. It is advisable to check to permissions and ownership. Generally, resales are ready-to-move-in properties, where no waiting period involves. Once you pay and conclude the deal, you can move in anytime and thus save EMI or rent. If you negotiate well, you might get a very good deal in the resale market.
