The GSMA mAgri programme ran a webinar on Thursday, 28 March 2019.

This webinar presented the step-by-step approach described in our recently published GSMA mAgri Value Chain Assessment Tool. The tool provides a framework for analysing value chains for poverty reduction.

It is primarily aimed at providers of digital financial services working to digitise the agricultural last mile, particularly the digitisation of procurement payments to farmers. The tool offers instructions, recommendations and examples that can help you:

• Understand the systemic factors and conditions under which value chains operate in the last mile;
• Identify value chains and use cases suitable for last mile digital interventions, especially digital payments;
• Build a pipeline of agricultural organisations operating in suitable value chains; and
• Develop a better rural growth strategy
