The Carbon & Energy Fund in partnership with IHEEM and HEFMA, have produced a guide to assist NHS Trusts meet their Net Zero carbon targets set out in the NHS strategy “Delivering a ‘Net Zero’ National Health Service”.
On Wednesday 14th April 2021 three well received webinars were broadcast to introduce the Guide, which provide an excellent platform and reference point for you to work with - alongside discussions on decarbonisation (and what it means), a Trust’s real-life journey of progressive decarbonisation plus helpful tips on any future funding available via Salix Finance.
The guide builds on previous work and sets out a clear three staged approach to decarbonising NHS Estates. The guide has been developed and reviewed by experts from across industry and the NHS. It draws on real NHS project experience as well as reviewing emerging and future technologies and explores how Trusts can develop strategies that decarbonise now whilst simultaneously preparing for future innovation.
