I am looking for a solution to this. It idles fine, but as soon as I bring up the RPM's, it cuts out. I cannot get it above 1500 RPM. This 89 Saab 900T idles fine, but as soon as I bring up the RPM's, it cuts out. I cannot get it above 1500 RPM.
Fuel pressure is rock solid at 31psi and as I "rev" it unsuccessfully, the pressure will bounce up to around 38. When I release the throttle it immediately settles down to 31 psi.
Things I have replaced: MAF, APC, TPS, wires, plugs, cap, rotor. No vacuum leaks.
I have pulled each plug wire while it is running and seen a decrease in RPM. I have pulled each injector wire and noted a decrease in RPM. I have pinched off the fuel return line with no difference. Spark stays consistent when the cutout happens.
I believe the injectors are likely cutting out, but cannot be sure as my noid light is not an "inline" noid light.
Any further ideas?
SOLUTION!!!
I found a new Jetronics module on ebay. Apparently, there are more dependable ones with different part numbers. The 948 (0280000948) is better than the 570 model and is a direct drop in.
