Scott Morrison should just stop apologising over the scrapped French submarine deal, says Political Analyst Joe Siracusa.
"Macron got lied to – big deal," Prof Siracusa told Sky News Australia.
"I don't care if the prime minister lied to France – he made a decision in the state interest of Australia.
"It's not about marriage counselling isn't it – people have to trust each other – he made a decision based on his own bat in the interest of Australia."
"You don't trust another nation until you've signed an international treaty or something like that – there are some things you have to trust each other on.
"But when it comes to economics and military or political survival – our nations are on their own thing."
