Due to a derailment on the Queens Boulevard Line near 65th Street, all (E) (F) (R) service was suspended between Queens Plaza or 21st Street Queensbridge and Forest Hills - 71st Avenue. Shuttle buses replaced trains during this time. Buses from many depots were called in to operate the shuttle, due to ridership demands. Several shuttle bus routes operated between the two points. Local (R) buses made all stops, while express shuttle buses made (E) (F) stops.
