A tornado ripped through Nash County Wednesday. WRAL meteorologist Aimee Wilmoth said rotation could be seen for almost 30 miles. There are now 16 confirmed injuries -- 13 in Nash County and 3 in Edgecombe County. Two people are facing life-threatening injuries from the tornado.
The tornado caused significant damage, ripping off the roofing and siding of several homes and buildings. It caused significant damage to the Pfizer building in Rocky Mount.
