A stunning autumn hike amongst an ancient rainforest in Borrowdale in The Lake District National Park.
The trail starts at Seatoller National Trust car park and follows along the beautiful River Derwent amongst mixed woodland classed as The Rainforest of The Lakes, as it is known as the wettest valley in this district. Along the way we climb onto High Doat , with stunning views over Borrowdale and the surrounding mountains into Stonethwaite and Seathwaite.
The route is 4 miles long , Summit of High Doat is 288m.
