On Thursday, September 19, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, held a press conference after a closed-door briefing with the Intelligence Community Inspector General over concerns that a whistleblower complaint is being withheld from Congress.
The IG found the whistleblower complaint to be credible and urgent, and reported it to the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), who is legally required to provide the complaint to Congress. Acting DNI Joseph Maguire has failed to comply with whistleblower procedures. Mr. Maguire has agreed to testify in open session before the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday, September 26.
