Moto Republic in Eagle Rock hosts a ride every 3rd Sunday. This ride was on December 16, 2018 and went from Eagle Rock to Crystal Lake to Mt Baldy. I chose to meet the group in Azusa because it was my first time on the freeway on my CRF250L and wasn't sure I'd be able to keep up with the pack. My ride started in Pasadena. The weather was beautiful with a low in the morning of 55 degrees and topped off somewhere in the high 60s or low 70s.
Ride Route: State Route 39 (San Gabriel Canyon Rd) to Crystal Lake Cafe. Then back down SR39 to East Fork to Glendora Ridge Canyon Rd to Mt Baldy Restaurant/Lodge. Going home we took Glendora Ridge Canyon Rd to Glendora Mountain Rd to the bottom of the hill back in Glendora. I took side streets home to avoid the 210 West traffic with everyone coming home from Vegas.
Total mileage for me was 130 miles. Door to Door was 6.5 hours. The bike didn't miss a beat. I can't seem to remember to turn off my blinkers, but the more I ride the more it should become second nature. The group was a great bunch of guys and gals. John unhooked his petcock hose to give me some gas since the CRF250L only has a 2 gallon tank and I was pretty much empty when I got to Mt Baldy.
