Australian Birds. Black-necked Stork (Ephippiorynchus asiaticus). These majestic birds are often called "Policeman Birds" and give an impression of imperturbable authority as they roam the wetlands. Jabirus are great travellers and can fly to high altitudes.

Food: fish, reptiles, frogs, crustaceans
Breeding: pairs or loose groups after wet season
Status: uncommon to rare; nomadic
