Sogno d'una fata ("The Dream of a Fairy"), by Santi Tafarella.
This is an Italian-American waltz arranged for two mandolins and guitar, written by the 1920s band leader and recording artist Santi Tafarella and published by Pagani Music in New York in 1929. Tafarella is unfortunately now very obscure despite writing a large number of great tunes -- I have recorded several more of his tunes, but have never come across anybody else still playing his music. If you like this, check my recent recordings of two other Tafarella waltzes, "Lieto Passato" and "In Fondo Al Mare".
Played on:
Mandolin 1: 1890s Umberto Ceccherini
Mandolin 2: 1915 Luigi Embergher
Ozark tenor guitar
