As the war in the Middle East rages on for a year, Israeli Defence Forces seem to have become unstoppable. After the killings of numerous Hezbollah commanders, reports of the outfit’s media chief’s elimination have surfaced. As per Lebanese sources to Reuters, an Israeli strike on a residential building in Beirut killed Hezbollah's media relations chief Md Afif. The reports of the killing of Mohammad Afif are yet to be confirmed by Hezbollah's administration. People have been seeking refuge after the Israeli bombardments displaced many in the Ras al-Nabaa neighbourhood. Afif was a long-time media advisor to Hezbollah's former Chief Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli air attack in Beirut on Sept 27. He managed Hezbollah's Al-Manar television station for several years before taking over the Iran-backed group's media relations office. The ground and aerial ops were intensified against Hezbollah after nearly 200 missiles were fired from Lebanon on Nov 11. Lebanese militant group Hezbollah started firing rockets into Israeli border communities after Hamas’ attack in Israel on Oct 7, 2023. The unstoppable Israeli forces have nearly eliminated all the top commanders of Hezbollah and other Iranian proxies. Currently, Naim Qassem is leading an almost dismantled Hezbollah and is probably the next target of the IDF.
