Day 3 - We started from Manali to our journey till Sarchu. On the way we crossed Solang Valley, Atal Tunnel, Lahaul, Keylong, Baralacha Pass, Jispa Sarchu.
Manali to Sarchu distance is approx 230 km. This is the midpoint in Manali Leh route and you get Swiss tents for a night stay with good amenities. The journey for covering the section of Manali to the town of Sarchu takes almost 8 hours if road conditions are fine.
Sarchu (also known as Sir Bhum Chun) is a major halt point with tented accommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway, on the boundary between Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh in India. It is situated between Baralacha La to the south and Lachulung La to the north, at an altitude of 4,201 m
