Adding A Rafter Rio Grande Wild Turkey's To Our Oklahoma Homestead has finally happened! We have been talking about it for almost a year now. The Payne Family have gifted us 10 Wild Rio Grande Turkey Poults to start our ADVENTURE! We Tour the Payne Family's Homestead and get to see their turkey habitat and meet Joe the Peacock! We learn about how to care for wild turkeys to help them thrive on our land. We will be Raising Turkeys For Eggs,Poults & Release. Our plan is to build our flock, sell hatching turkey eggs, raise many for ourselves as breeders and also release some onto the property. This is like raising turkeys for beginners, as we were gifted Tom Tom after he was fully grown. Hopefully we can grow him out a girlfriend so he doesn't have to be lonely anymore :) Maybe when we will be releasing turkeys into the wild . Rios are Native to Texas. These Rio Grande Turkeys are raised and bred in Oklahoma Rios. We are wanting to have a better habitat management and restocking program on our ranch.
