Have been meaning to try Iranian Food since forever, so I thought if not now then when?

Staples of most Persian dishes consist of bread, rice, meat, and salad, often served with a side of fresh herbs, and yogurt.

The terms “Persian” and “Iranian” don’t necessarily mean the same thing. As per Thoughtco, Persian relates to a particular ethnicity, and being Iranian refers to a certain nationality e.g. majority of the ethnicity in Iran is Persian.
As for the restaurant Ali Qapu, this family business actually started back in Iran, and current owner is the 4th generation running this business.

Ali Qapu is actually the name of a Palace in Iran, and the owner's name is Ali also!

WHAM!!

That's how I felt when I took the first ever bite of Persian food in my life! You would NOT wanna try any of the "dips" from supermarket ever once you try their real deals. Spoiler alert - their bread is freaking ah-maze balls!

Let me tell you a secret - I actually don't like Lamb, but I was trying to be adventurous and ordered 2 Lamb dishes. End result? I am UTTERLY converted.

Being in Australia for 20 yrs didn't convert me to like Lamb, but just a night at a Persian restaurant did the trick!

Their ice cream is indeed rosey, it took a bit of getting used to, but after a few mouthful, I was back in full turbo mode. Their ice cream is more on the eggy and nutty side, it's different, but, I like!

Shout out to Vicky who's the star waitress of the night, you're in luck if she's looking after your table 🙃😉

Highlights: Quality of their food, Good Value (only $58/each with leftover to take home!), Traditional and Eclectic Interior, Friendly Service, and Great Varieties of Food
