James Webb has discovered carbon dioxide on the surface of Jupiter’s moon Europa. Since Europa is covered by thick layer of ice over a global ocean, it is surprising for scientists to find CO2 on the surface. Some experts believe CO2 could be of external in origin, and others think Underground Ocean may have dissolved CO2 which seeped through the subsurface. Another theory suggests that it could be by-product of decomposition of organic compounds.
