OBD (On-board diagnostics)/DDL port location on Terrano II R20 platform
The one seem on this video is not the standard OBDII connector that will work directly with a OBDII bluetooth dongle. This one on the video is a DDL = Diagnostics Data Link. Protocol used on pre-2005 Nissan vehicles. The ODB will not fit here.
To read the failure codes you need to bridge/short the 2 corners pins with a wire like in this picture:

Shorting diagnostic port: on the European Terrano II you can set the ECU into diagnostic mode with a paperclip trick & looking at the engine light. Turn IGN on, using a paperclip you short the "Ign" & "Check" pin on the diagnostic plug by the drivers fuse box for 2sec then remove.
Turn on ignition but don't start the engine.
Bridge the two pins in the diagnostic connector for two seconds. I use a
paperclip.
The engine check light should start to flash. The flashing will indicate any error codes that are
present in the ECU.
Turn off ignition.
Error codes. (long flash = first digit, short flash = second digit)
