Vivo Z1 Pro Display
It’s 6.53 inches. FHD+ resolution. And it offers an immersive experience with its Ultra Fullview display. Glad to see that the in-display camera in mid-range smartphones now - and that just adds so much more to design.
Z1Pro has an IPS display so while it might not be as eye popping and saturated and vivid as Super AMOLED displays- IPS displays are known to be more natural.
Colors on the screen look good. The screen is quite bright so even outdoors you won’t have any trouble. So if you are someone who commutes alot but likes to watch videos while on the way - this is going to be just perfect.
The back of the device is probably the most eye catchy design feature - the Sonic Blue color is a subtle but lovely gradient of green and blue - but what’s even better is the way light bounces off its surface. You can see how the light just flows on the back surface. Sure, it’s on the shinier side and people who love matte finish may be a bit hesitant - but it’s definitely interesting.
At the back you also have the triple AI camera setup along with a physical fingerprint sensor which I personally find faster and better than the in-display fingerprint sensor. But I love curves along the edges and it’s truly amazing to see how good the mid-range smartphone designs have gotten. And the gradient design is even prominent on the sides of the device - so it’s a well thought through design approach and Vivo has been getting better with every phone they’ve been launching.
You do get a headphone jack, a microUSB port for data syncing and charging, speaker grill, dual SIM tray with the option to expand storage using microSD card. And despite a 5,000 mAh massive battery - the phone does not weigh too heavy and you can partly thank the plastic-build that keeps the device light and lesser prone to cracks like glass.
Overall the Z1Pro is probably the most value for money buy in the 15-20 thousand segment in India. A really efficient processor with AI features that boost performance as and when required, a really impressive camera system for the price and a massive 6.53 inch Ultra Full View display and undoubtedly the best selfie camera in this segment - the Z1Pro is just what you need if you don’t want to spend more than Rs. 20,000 on a smartphone.
