The Ctagganmore distillery was founded in 1869, is situated in the Speyside region of the Scottish Highlands and owned by Diageo
THIS WHISKY
12 Single malt from Cragganmore
One of Diageo’s 6 Classic Malts, the others being Glenkinchie, Dalwhinnie, Talisker, Oban, Lagavulin
Cragganmore spirit is mostly used in blends such as Johnnie Walker and White Horse
Matured in oak casks
ABV 43%
COLOUR
Deep gold
NOSE
Fragrant, complex, fresh, floral, fruity, citrus, peaches, pears, apple puree, honeyed nuts, malt, vanilla, sherry, toffee
TASTE
Sweet, malty, fruity, slightly smoky, fruit and custard dessert, citrus, herbal, honeyed nuts, fruit and nut cereal
FINISH
Medium long finish, sweet, warm, slightly smoky
WITH WATER:
Nose: more honeyed vanilla and fruity notes
Taste: some spicy notes emerge, very mellow after a few minutes
SUMMARY: sweet fruits mixed with honeyed nuts
